I draw the city the way a comic is drawn — heavy line first, screentone second, the rest left for the reader.
Every plate here was inked in one sitting, on the spot: a torii at dusk, a bowl of ramen at eleven at night, the cat that owns the corner of my street. Nothing was traced and nothing was tidied afterwards.
The book turns. Drag a page by its outer edge, and put the glass over anything you want to see closer.
